[...] I love pork ribs. When I saw it on the menu I decided that I must have it. The question was, should I get the full or half rack? I ended up choosing the half because I had a picture of the full rack of ribs someone ordered at Blue Spruce last year in my mind, so I made my decision based on that. Turned out the half rack was just right quantity-wise. The meat was tender and the BBQ sauce was finger-licking good. The baked potato was perfect. I’ve never tasted a potato so fluffy before. I didn’t even use the butter that came with it because it didn’t need any. [...]

i agree w/your assessment on the food. it was delicious and service was great. for the desserts, the triangles were red bean paste-filled pastries. i don't think there were any curry puffs... one of the biscuit-type things were filled with coconut and milk powder (tastes better than it sounds) and the other was filled with mung/green bean paste.

if anyone is interested in the cookies, i know who baked them and she is selling them :)

Thanks,
I guess MSG is the vegan cooks secret weapon, or last resort rather.
Yeah diet food is often unhealthy, even tho' its low in calories.
I try to do low-fat stuff (not NO-fat). A LITTLE small bit of oil, butter or bacon goes a long way to improve bland veggies, or beans, for me.

Cheers
